Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Loths Fallen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rauno Viittala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Loths Fallen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rauno Viittala!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fallen shoots in for a takedown but Viittala shows good takedown defense.
Viittala paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Fallen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Viittala throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Viittala is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Viittala throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Fallen escapes and throws Viittala's legs to the side, diving into side control!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Fallen shoots in for a double leg but Viittala sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Viittala changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fallen tries to avoid it but Viittala manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fallen to the ground. Fallen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Viittala is nestled in close to Fallen, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Viittala loads up on a big right hand but Fallen slips the punch.
Fallen takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Viittala has a takedown stuffed.

Viittala clinches up against the cage.
Fallen goes for a takedown in the clinch but Viittala prevents it.
Fallen working aggressively here.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Fallen tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Viittala stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fallen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Viittala is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Fallen gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Fallen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fallen takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Viittala throws a nice looking combination but Fallen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Viittala fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fallen manages to avoid it.
Viittala swats away the attempt to clinch by Fallen.
Fallen takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Fallen shoots in but no luck this time.
Fallen closes the distance and clinches up with Viittala, looking for a takedown. Fallen pushes Viittala against the cage but Viittala circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Viittala throws a head kick but Fallen moves out of range.

Fallen takes the fight into the clinch.
Fallen stops a takedown attempt from Viittala.
Fallen is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Viittala pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Fallen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fallen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Viittala has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Fallen is proving hard to escape from.
Viittala thows a big elbow that misses.
Viittala throws a strike but Fallen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Viittala is on top in guard.

Rauno Viittala showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Viittala tests Fallen's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Viittala looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fallen is fending him off so far but Viittala persists. Nope, Fallen circles away and we're back to standing.
Viittala blocks a head kick by Fallen.
Viittala smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Viittala lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.


Fallen is rocked!
Viittala cracks Fallen with a good jab.
Oh Fallen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Viittala moves out of range of the body kick.
Viittala cracks a nice hook into Fallen's ribs.
Viittala fails with a takedown attempt.
Viittala tries a head kick but it misses.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Viittala fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fallen sprawls well initially but Viittala persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Fallen seems to have got his legs back now.

Viittala seems to be working for a kimura but Fallen defends the submission attempt.

Fallen kicks off Viittala and gets to his feet.
Some wild striking there from Fallen.
Viittala throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fallen on the side of the head.
Fallen throws a half hearted mid kick.
Fallen tries to clinch but Viittala moves away
and Viittala counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Viittala lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Viittala lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Viittala lands a head kick. Fallen smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Viittala doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Fallen counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Viittala's guard now.
Loths Fallen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rauno Viittala.
Fallen works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Viittala is trying to get back to full guard.

Viittala kicks off Fallen and gets to his feet.
Viittala misses with a wild body shot.
Fallen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Viittala swivels and escapes.
Fallen throws a head kick that misses.

Viittala closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fallen to the mat! Fallen manages to get full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Fallen takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
A combination from Viittala does no damage.

Viittala tries to strike from the bottom.
Fallen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Viittala looking for a guillotine here but Fallen defends easily.
Fallen is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Fallen throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Rauno Viittala comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Viittala has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
