Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Forrest Gump (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akekae Pokaku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gump comes to the cage accompanied by mama always said. Akekae Pokaku has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Forrest Gump's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Forrest Gump!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Akekae Pokaku!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pokaku throws a good cross that connects.
Gump avoids the head kick by Pokaku.
Pokaku fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gump avoids it really well and circles away.
Pokaku has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Gump finds it's way round the side to connect with Pokaku's head.
A head kick misses from Pokaku.
Gump scores with a one two! Pokaku had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Gump connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A swing and a miss from Gump.
Pokaku misses with a jab, cross combination.
Pokaku shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gump as he avoids it easily.
Pokaku fails with a takedown attempt.
Forrest Gump has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Akekae Pokaku.

Pokaku gets tackled into the cage by Gump. Gump maintains the clinch.
Pokaku wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Pokaku goes for a takedown attempt but Gump pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Gump ducks under a wild hook from Pokaku.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gump fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pokaku has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Gump checks the leg kick.
Pokaku tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gump swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A jab from Pokaku misses.
Pokaku will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
The fighters circling - Gump throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Pokaku takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Pokaku ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gump moves away.
Pokaku moves forwards but Gump connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Pokaku throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gump's waist but Gump gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pokaku off to one side.
Gump moves out of range of the leg kick from Pokaku.
Pokaku's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gump connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Pokaku scrambles back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pokaku shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gump defends it nicely.
Pokaku has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Gump finds it's way round the side to connect with Pokaku's head.
Gump throws a shot to the body.
Pokaku looks gassed!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gump moves away from the strike by Pokaku.
Gump throws a leg kick but Pokaku sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Pokaku takes one on the button.

Pokaku is rocked!
Pokaku is trying desperately to land a takedown but Gump is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Pokaku.
Gump cracks Pokaku with a left hook right on the temple and Pokaku goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Gump lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Pokaku is OK!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Forrest Gump!
Forrest Gump decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
