The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That was a close second round but I would say that Jambo Alvez will probably get the nod.

Alvez throws a series of punches but Mercuri moves out of range.
The crowd cheers as Alvez lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mercuri doesn't seem phased though.

and Mercuri counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Mercuri does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Alvez swings for the body but Mercuri moves out of range.

Alvez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Mercuri shoots in for a double leg but Alvez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Alvez stalks Mercuri and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mercuri's face. Mercuri staggers backwards, shaken.
