Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roderick Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coton connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jenkins's hands.


It looks like Roderick Jenkins has been cut.

Coton feints and as Jenkins raises his hands in defense, Coton changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Coton thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jenkins can do anything to dispel that myth.

Coton postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jenkins is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Coton, into his guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Coton lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Jenkins tries to sprawl but Coton drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Coton drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jenkins looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jenkins looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jenkins!

Jenkins is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Coton gets his way!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jenkins is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Coton asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Coton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jenkins is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Coton goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jenkins has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Coton but great work by Jenkins.

Coton takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Jenkins is looking to slow Coton down with leg kicks.
Nice uppercut lands for Jenkins. That snapped Coton's head back.

Jenkins catches Coton with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Jenkins lands with a nice body punch.
Coton takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Jenkins lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Coton gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Coton tries to move into range but Jenkins moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Coton misses with a wild body shot.
Jenkins walks into a stiff left hand from Coton.
Horrible takedown by Coton or perhaps it was just good defense by Jenkins which made him look bad.
Coton is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Coton closes the distance and clinches up with Jenkins, looking for a takedown. Coton pushes Jenkins against the cage but Jenkins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jenkins, as that shot connected.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Jenkins. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Jenkins stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Coton takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jenkins enables Coton to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jenkins manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Jenkins connects with a good right hand that stumbles Coton. Coton circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Roderick Jenkins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Jenkins has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
