Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francesco Luongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Volkov comes to the cage accompanied by The Trooper by Iron Maiden. Luongo is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Alexisonfire - The Northern. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkov throws a front kick aimed at Luongo's knee but Luongo avoids it well.

Luongo closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Volkov's guard.

Volkov scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Luongo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Volkov looks to land a left hand but Luongo moved out of range nicely.

Volkov turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Volkov manages to end up in side control.

Volkov is nestled in close to Luongo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Volkov is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Luongo is controlling him.
Luongo controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Francesco Luongo hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Luongo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Volkov.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Volkov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Volkov is pressing down on Luongo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Vincent Volkov will probably get the nod.

Luongo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Volkov.
Luongo moves out of range as Volkov throws a body kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Volkov.
Volkov stuffs the takedown attempt from Luongo. Luongo gets slowly back to his feet.

Luongo shoots in for a double leg but Volkov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Luongo with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Volkov to score with a decent uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Volkov feints and then cracks Luongo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Luongo down.
Luongo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Volkov sprawls well. Volkov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Luongo gets slowly back to his feet.
Volkov is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

and Volkov counters with a huge left! Luongo is in big trouble! He's backing up but Volkov isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Luongo from any more damage. A dominating finish by Volkov!
