The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Allen. Those never looked like landing.
Santel shoots in but no luck this time.
Santel shoots for a double leg takedown but Allen sprawls well. He's pushed Santel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Allen lands with a straight right. Santel didn't see that one coming.

It looks like Ad Santel has been cut.

Santel fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Allen sprawls well initially but Santel persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Santel is looking to advance position but Allen won't allow it.
Allen tries to kick Santel off but Santel keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Santel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Allen as he avoids it easily.
Ad Santel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Santel fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Allen avoids it really well and circles away.
Allen lands a nice leg kick that just misses Santel's sensitive parts.
Allen throws a head kick that Santel semi-blocks.
Allen circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Santel drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Allen follows Santel to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
