Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Marx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Stryker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stryker has chosen Die Motherfucker Die as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 15 - 3, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Marx!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Charles Stryker!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marx misses with a head kick.
Nice body punch from Stryker.
Marx takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Marx swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Marx checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Stryker throws a sloppy head kick and Marx moves out of range easily.
Stryker doesn't manage to clinch there - Marx circles away.
Stryker avoids the head kick by Marx.
Stryker fails in his attempt to clinch.
Marx throws a head kick that misses
and Stryker cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Marx is trying hard to land a takedown here. Stryker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Marx's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Stryker connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Marx scrambles back to his feet.
Stryker lands a jab.

Marx closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Stryker to the mat! Stryker manages to get full guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Marx wants to control from the top but Stryker keeps moving.

Marx avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Marx missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Stryker tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Marx in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Stryker controlling Marx's posture.
Marx makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Marx looking to sit in guard and control but Stryker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Stryker with a flurry of punches that miss.

Stryker wants to control from the top but Marx keeps moving.
Marx is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Marx has control of Stryker's left arm, preventing Stryker from doing any damage.

Stryker stands up from Marx's guard - Stryker perhaps looking for a knockout.
Marx throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stryker's waist but Stryker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Marx off to one side.

Marx falls off balance throwing a combination
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Marx pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Stryker connects with a leg kick. Marx looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Marx closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Stryker drives through and clinches with Marx against the cage.
Stryker throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Stryker gets underhooks to prevent Marx's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Marx. That's going to take a lot out of him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stryker makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stryker lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Marx is looking for a takedown.

Nice sprawl there from Stryker as Marx shoots in.
Marx takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Stryker tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Stryker tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Marx manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Stryker cracks the inside of Marx's front leg.
Stryker throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Marx.

Stryker blocks a jab.
Oh Marx is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stryker scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Stryker attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Marx seems to have got his legs back now.
Marx takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Stryker has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Stryker throws a low kick but it's checked well by Marx.

Mark Marx seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Stryker counters with a right hand to the body.
Stryker feints a jab promting Marx to slip. Stryker then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Marx slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Stryker takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Marx tries to clinch but Stryker is having none of it.
Marx moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Marx fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Stryker is out of range.

Marx shoots for a double leg takedown but Stryker sprawls well. He's pushed Marx's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Stryker moves out of range as Marx throws a body kick.
Stryker swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Marx throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Stryker shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Marx sprawls well. Marx wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stryker gets slowly back to his feet.
Marx throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Stryker takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Marx lands a high kick!
A nice inside leg kick there by Stryker. That's going to slow Marx down.
Marx on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Stryker avoids the head kick by Marx.
Stryker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Marx's waist but Marx gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stryker off to one side.

and Marx counters with a nice low kick that buckles Stryker's knee momentarily.
Stryker swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Stryker fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Stryker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Marx was well out of range. Poor timing from Stryker.
Stryker lands with a nice body punch.

Stryker chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Marx can pounce on him.
Stryker fails to land the takedown.
Mark Marx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Stryker.
Stryker uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Marx.
Nice takedown defense from Stryker. No joy for Marx on that attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Stryker throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

I would just about give that final round to Charles Stryker.
I've got Stryker winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
