The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Carson Mile has been cut.
Savage walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Savage shoots in looking for a takedown. Mile tries to sprawl out of it but Savage keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mile manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mile swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Savage fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Savage connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mile looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Mile will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Mile decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Savage, up you get!

Savage is trying to pull guard but Mile turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Savage throws a punch but it's blocked by Mile.

Savage breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Savage walks into a left hand.
A slow jab from Savage misses its intended target.
Mile throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Savage takes one on the button.
A jab from Savage does it's job there.
Savage takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Mile looks to land a combination but Savage avoids it well.
Mile lands a jab to the head.

Mile moves into the clinch.
Savage swings wildly with an uppercut but Mile uses good head movement to avoid it.

Savage breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Carson Mile is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mile tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Savage was well out of range. Poor timing from Mile.
Mile ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Savage throws a series of punches but Mile avoids them all with ease.
Mile thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Savage if he has to take too many more of those.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mile looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Savage uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mile.
Savage throws a looping overhand right but Mile ducks down to avoid it.
Mile tries to close the distance and clinch up but Savage swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Savage lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Savage takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Mile ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Savage moves away.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Savage scores with a counter punch that sends Mile to the canvas! Savage smells blood - he's punishing Mile with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Mile has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
