Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul Mullen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willie Wynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wynn has chosen Flower Of Scotland - Red Hot Chilli Pipers as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Mullen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Willie Wynn!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Joseph Jones and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wynn scores with a decent looking hook.
Mullen misses with a two punch combination.
Wynn lands a glancing blow to the side of Mullen's head.
Good standup being displayed there by Wynn as he connects with a hook.
Mullen takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Mullen throws a series of punches but Wynn avoids them all with ease.
A combination from Mullen does no damage.
Wynn digs a good body shot into Mullen's ribs.
Mullen throws a series of punches but Wynn avoids them all with ease.
Paul Mullen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wynn fails with a takedown attempt.
Wynn tries to clinch but Mullen moves out of range.

A left lands for Wynn.
Mullen misses with the combination.
Mullen throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Wynn to counter with a crisp jab.
Mullen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wynn tries to avoid it but Mullen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wynn to the ground. Wynn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wynn shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mullen eats them both and turns towards Wynn to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Mullen throws a left and a right that both miss
and Wynn counters with a straight right hand.
Mullen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wynn circles away quickly and effectively.
Mullen throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Wynn counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Wynn.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wynn throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wynn passes Mullen's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Wynn decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Mullen swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Wynn counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Mullen is breathing heavily.
Wynn scores with a one two! Mullen had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Mullen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Wynn drives through and clinches with Mullen against the cage.
Wynn slows down the pace here.

Wynn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mullen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Wynn counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Mullen is defending against the submission attempts here by Wynn.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wynn is trying for a kimura here. Mullen looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Wynn wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Willie Wynn!
Our winner, Willie Wynn, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
