Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pepper Froglegs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping body kick lands there for Froglegs.
Froglegs swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Froglegs displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Silver.

Silver looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Silver prevents Froglegs from improving his position.

Silver is looking for a kimura but Froglegs is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Silver to get the leverage.

Silver is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Froglegs sees it coming and defends easily.
Silver is looking to take a break and control but Froglegs is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Froglegs can do anything to dispel that myth.

Silver swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Froglegs is now in Silver's guard. A big mistake from Silver there, giving up the dominant position!

Silver looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Froglegs has picked Silver up and slammed him! Silver can't keep hold of the triangle and Froglegs manages to pass to side control!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Silver misses with a low kick.
Froglegs lands a jab-cross combination.
Froglegs stuffs the takedown.
Froglegs works the jab nicely.
Froglegs will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A looping hook to the body misses from Froglegs. Silver does a little dance to reset his feet.
Froglegs looks to land a combination but Silver avoids it well.
Froglegs fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Silver has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Froglegs lands with an uppercut that bounces Silver off the cage and back into range.
Froglegs misses with a wild combination.

Silver tries to keep at a distance but Froglegs has taken the fight into the clinch.
Silver keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Froglegs's efforts to push away.
Silver is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Froglegs pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Silver lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Froglegs takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Froglegs wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Froglegs has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Silver is trying to keep an underhook but Froglegs manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Silver moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silver escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Froglegs gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Silver is working an open guard so Froglegs takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Silver chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Froglegs can pounce on him.
Froglegs throws a right and a left that both miss.
Silver bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and Silver counters with a thumping low kick.

Silver throws a hook to the side of Froglegs's head but Froglegs sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Silver tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Froglegs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silver. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Silver tries to hold on but Froglegs postures up.
Silver is wriggling around trying to escape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Silver is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pepper Froglegs showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Silver's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Silver feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Pepper Froglegs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Froglegs moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Froglegs misses with an attempted mid kick.
Silver takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Silver with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Froglegs to score with a decent uppercut.
Froglegs scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Froglegs is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Silver rather than just go for the knockout.

Silver changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Froglegs tries to avoid it but Silver manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Froglegs to the ground. Froglegs escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Silver throws a jab but it's blocked by Froglegs.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Froglegs enables Silver to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Froglegs manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Silver has gone for a leg lock! Froglegs slips out almost immediately though and dives into Silver's guard.
Froglegs must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
