The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sackett changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jefferson tries to avoid it but Sackett manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jefferson to the ground. Jefferson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jefferson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Sackett fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jefferson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sackett.
Sackett tries to clinch but Jefferson is having none of it.
Sackett tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jefferson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jefferson has his takedown stuffed
and Sackett counters with a stiff right hand.
Jefferson blocks a jab.
Jefferson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Jefferson looks to move to half guard but instead Sackett has passed into mount! Damn!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jefferson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Jefferson tries to hold on but Sackett pushes him away.

Sackett postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Jefferson badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Sackett around the waist but Sackett pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Sackett is the winner by TKO! Sackett jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
