The judges for this bout are Josh West, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steptoe takes a kick to the side of the head.
Steptoe shoots in for a takedown but McDade shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
McDade takes a swing at Steptoe's ribcage but misses.
Steptoe drives through with a takedown into McDade's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Steptoe forces his way into half guard.
McDade is trying to stand up here but Steptoe is controlling him well.
Steptoe looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Steptoe is looking to take a break and control but McDade is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
McDade is looking for a sweep. Steptoe is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
