Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jobe Nkemakolam!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Simon Williams!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Williams is predictable there
and Nkemakolam counters with a slapping leg kick.
Williams feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Nkemakolam's calf.
Williams throws a quick inside leg kick.
Williams keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Nkemakolam, as that shot connected.
Williams goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Williams is looking to clinch.
Nkemakolam checks a leg kick nicely.
Nkemakolam connects with a crisp jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Nkemakolam drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Williams sneaks back into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Williams moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Nkemakolam throws an elbow that misses. Williams uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Nkemakolam's guard. Nice move by Williams!

Nkemakolam is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Williams is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

We're going to have a standup here because Jobe Nkemakolam wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Williams looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Williams thows a leg kick but Nkemakolam checks it
and Nkemakolam cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Williams gets a clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nkemakolam blocks a body shot from Williams.
Williams tries to circle away but Nkemakolam has him pinned against the cage.
Williams tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Williams lands a knee to the head.


It looks like Jobe Nkemakolam has been cut.
Nkemakolam tries a body shot but Williams blocks it.
Nkemakolam misses with a punch on the inside.
Williams using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Nkemakolam has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Williams tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Williams lands a nice elbow.
Nkemakolam blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Williams's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Williams connects with an inside leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Williams is looking to score with low kicks.
Williams moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Williams throws a leg kick but Nkemakolam sees it coming and moves out of range.

Williams cracks Nkemakolam with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Williams has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Nkemakolam to stand back up!


Nkemakolam is rocked!
Williams tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nkemakolam swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Williams looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Williams with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Williams throws a leg kick but Nkemakolam sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Williams lands a big uppercut and Nkemakolam crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Nkemakolam looks OK. Williams waves Nkemakolam back to his feet!
Oh Nkemakolam is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Williams misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nkemakolam.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nkemakolam wants to slow Williams down by chopping away at his legs.
Nkemakolam seems to have got his legs back now.
Williams and Nkemakolam are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Williams throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Nkemakolam into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Williams knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Simon Williams! Simon Williams retains his heavyweight title!
Post fight, Simon Williams took to the microphone: 'Ah choo bitch!'.
