Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mephistopheles Faust (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bristol Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cole has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Bristol Cole has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cole tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Faust finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Cole fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cole swings for the body but Faust moves out of range.
Cole has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Faust.

and Faust counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Good leg kick by Faust there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Faust throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cole has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Faust.
Faust throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Cole.

The cut above Bristol Cole's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Faust fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cole manages to avoid it.

Bristol Cole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Faust's corner calls for a 1-2. Faust obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Faust lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Cole's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Faust punishes Cole's body with a nice straight punch.
Faust is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Faust lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Faust throws a nice outside leg kick.
Faust throws a leg kick which misses Cole's front leg but catches the back leg as Cole tries to avoid it.
Faust connects with a leg kick. Cole looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Faust thows a body kick. Cole tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Cole has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Faust finds it's way round the side to connect with Cole's head.
Faust tests Cole's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Bristol Cole's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Cole takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Faust cracks Cole with a good jab.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cole stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Faust.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Faust.
Nice uppercut lands for Faust. That snapped Cole's head back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Faust lands the left hand.
Cole sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Faust lands with an uppercut that bounces Cole off the cage and back into range.
Cole is breathing heavily.

That kick from Faust tenderised Cole's leg. Cole is trying to keep his angry face on.
Faust is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cole can do to turn this around?

Faust fakes the leg kick and cracks Cole in the body.
Mephistopheles Faust is winning the standup battle so far.
Faust thumps Cole with a low kick.
Faust connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Cole steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Faust. That one must have hurt.
Faust has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Bristol Cole is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Faust scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Cole doesn't seem bothered though.
Faust lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
