Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Travis Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and CJ Dewing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dewing has chosen Let Your Love Flow - Bellamy Brothers as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Travis Lucas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, CJ Dewing!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Steve Montenegro and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucas misses with a straight right.
Lucas misses with an uppercut. Dewing saw that one coming.
Lucas thows a leg kick but Dewing checks it
and Dewing counters with a nice uppercut.
Dewing fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lucas with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Lucas walks into a straight right hand from Dewing.
Dewing sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lucas wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Lucas tries to work over Dewing's front leg with a kick but Dewing checks it.
Lucas throws a shot to the body.

Lucas throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lucas lands with a thumping leg kick.
Travis Lucas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dewing looks gassed!
Dewing checks the leg kick.
Dewing shoots for a takedown but Lucas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Travis Lucas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lucas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lucas does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Lucas throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dewing with a poor takedown
and Lucas counters with a slapping leg kick.
Travis Lucas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of CJ Dewing.
Lucas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

A chopping leg kick lands by Lucas.
Dewing shoots in for a takedown but Lucas shows good takedown defense.
Dewing thows a body shot but no joy.
Lucas moves into range and connects with a jab.
Lucas throws a leg kick but Dewing moved away.
Lucas goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Lucas misses with a low kick as Dewing jumps back.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lucas throws a sloppy head kick and Dewing moves out of range easily.
Lucas misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dewing.
Lucas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lucas buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Lucas scores with a head kick. Dewing tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Lucas lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Lucas lands with a cross.
Lucas connects with a leg kick. Dewing looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Lucas moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Lucas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dewing manages to avoid it.

Dewing will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dewing avoids the head kick by Lucas.
Lucas feints and then cracks Dewing's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dewing down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dewing gets cracked there but stands up to it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lucas lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Dewing's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
A slapping leg kick lands for Lucas.
Lucas is stalking Dewing. Dewing circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Lucas, and it's lights out! Dewing really payed the price for that rookie mistake.

After the fight, Travis Lucas was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
