These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szczerbiec lands a head kick. Diaz smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Szczerbiec bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Szczerbiec lands a big uppercut and Diaz crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Diaz looks OK. Szczerbiec waves Diaz back to his feet!

Diaz is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Szczerbiec moves into the clinch.
Diaz is still on wobbly legs! Can Szczerbiec finish him?
Diaz takes a knee to the side of the body.

Szczerbiec has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Diaz - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Szczerbiec, and another! Diaz is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
