Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carpet Chair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maverick Warner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carpet Chair!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Maverick Warner!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chair throws a nice inside leg kick.
Warner ducks under a wild hook from Chair.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Chair lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Warner has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Warner and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Chair fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Chair is looking to take a break and control but Warner is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Chair wants to lay and pray for a moment but Warner keeps working.

Warner is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Chair off and has taken his back!

Chair sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Chair is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Chair is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Carpet Chair overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Chair throws a jab but it's blocked by Warner.
Warner tries to bum rush Chair with a series of wild strikes but Chair uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Chair catches Warner with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Carpet Chair seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Warner goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Chair shoots for a double leg takedown but Warner sprawls well. He's pushed Chair's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Warner throws a right and a left that both miss.
Chair throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Warner on the side of the head.

Chair throws out a leg kick but Warner moves out of range and Chair only half commits.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Chair, as that shot connected.

Chair fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Warner avoids it really well and circles away.

Chair lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Chair swings for the body but Warner moves out of range.
Warner takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Warner is looking to clinch but Chair is avoiding it.

Warner stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Warner wants it to stay on the feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Warner checks a leg kick.

Warner displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chair throws out the jab.

Chair will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Warner lands a head kick. Chair smiles back at him and beckons him forward.


It looks like Carpet Chair has been cut.
Chair tries a head kick but it misses.
Chair shoots in for a double leg but Warner sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Warner will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Warner ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Warner lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Chair keeps the fight on the outside.
Nice uppercut lands for Chair. That snapped Warner's head back.

Chair changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Warner looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chair wants to lay and pray for a moment but Warner keeps working.
Chair is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Warner is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

A close third round but Maverick Warner just about did enough to take it.
The cut man is working on Carpet Chair's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Warner lands with a kick to the temple. Chair shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Warner rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Chair moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Chair lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Warner looks to land a combination but Chair avoids it well.
Warner uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Chair.

Chair throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Chair avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A big right from Chair misses.
Chair lands a jab to the nose.
Warner blocks a jab.
Chair throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Warner takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Chair fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A punch lands to the side of Warner 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Chair wants to land a leg kick but Warner is out of range.

Chair feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Chair shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Warner manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Warner is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Chair clobbers Warner with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Warner pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Warner throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Warner throws a nice looking combination but Chair bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Chair swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Chair tried to score with a low kick but Warner checks it.
Warner gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Horrible takedown by Chair or perhaps it was just good defense by Warner which made him look bad.
Chair shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Warner as he jumps to the side.
Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.
Warner cracks Chair with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Chair throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Warner counters with a left and a right that stings Chair.
Warner leaves Chair with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carpet Chair. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Chair throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Chair throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Warner was covering up waiting for the punch and Chair finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Warner manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chair manages to get himself to full guard.

I would just about give that final round to Maverick Warner.
Well Chair has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
