Corbett's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, .... Cruz is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Go To Sleep by Eminem feat. DMX, Obie Trice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tiger Cruz!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Corbett.

Cruz throws a shot from downtown. Corbett moves away and avoids it.

Cruz is looking to clinch.
Corbett scores with a sloppy right hand. Cruz should have avoided that one.
Cruz ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Corbett displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cruz throws out the jab.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Corbett tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cruz swivels and escapes.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nathan Corbett. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Corbett shoots for a double leg takedown but Cruz sprawls well. He's pushed Corbett's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Cruz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Corbett manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Corbett counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cruz won't be happy with that.
Corbett tries to move to full mount but Cruz actually manages to regain half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Corbett stops Cruz from getting back to his feet.
Cruz is looking for a sweep. Corbett is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Corbett thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Corbett has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Corbett is trying to control. Cruz wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Corbett looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Cruz regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Corbett.
Corbett tries to free his leg and advance position but Cruz is retaining full guard.
Corbett won't allow Cruz to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Corbett slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Nathan Corbett will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Corbett shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cruz defends it nicely.
Cruz tries to close the distance and clinch but Corbett swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Cruz connects with a body shot that sends Corbett's belly button to the back.
Corbett tries a head kick but it misses.
Corbett slips a straight right by Cruz.
Corbett is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Cruz misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Corbett.
Cruz looks to throw the jab but Corbett is out of range.

Cruz closes the distance and pushes Corbett back into the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Cruz just misses with a elbow thrown towards Corbett's brow.
Cruz lands an elbow inside.
Cruz creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Corbett's defenses.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Cruz creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Cruz prevents Corbett from breaking the clinch.
Cruz gets underhooks to prevent Corbett's takedown attempt.
Corbett is looking to take this one to the mat.

Oh Corbett is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cruz pushes Corbett against the cage. Cruz is working some dirty boxing. Cruz pushes off with a quick right hook! Corbett goes down! Corbett tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Cruz moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tiger Cruz!
Tiger Cruz seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
