PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kari Moukari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Sizzou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moukari comes to the cage accompanied by Tech N9ne - Stress Relief. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moukari takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Moukari shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sizzou slaps away a takedown attempt from Moukari, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sizzou throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Moukari.
Moukari shoots for a takedown but Sizzou saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kari Moukari. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sizzou cracks Moukari with a good jab.
Moukari shoots in but Sizzou avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Sizzou ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Moukari moves away.

Moukari fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Moukari on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Sizzou throws a right and a left that Moukari avoids nicely.

Sizzou cracks Moukari with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sizzou digs a good body shot into Moukari's ribs.
Sizzou tests Moukari's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kari Moukari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheers as Sizzou lands an impressive looking overhand right. Moukari doesn't seem phased though.

Moukari swings for the body but Sizzou moves out of range.
Sizzou moves out of range of the strikes.
Moukari shoots in but Sizzou avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Sizzou lands a right hook to the body.
Sizzou misses with a two punch combination.
Sizzou punishes Moukari's body with a nice straight punch.
Sizzou throws a nice outside leg kick.
Sizzou lunges at Moukari with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Moukari's hand.
Horrible takedown by Moukari or perhaps it was just good defense by Sizzou which made him look bad.
Moukari is breathing heavily.
Sizzou lands a nice looking body shot.

Sizzou attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Moukari closes the distance and clinches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Moukari tries to break the clinch but Sizzou is controlling the position.

Sizzou is trying to push Moukari away but Moukari has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
A frustrated look appears on Moukari's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Sizzou is looking to control Moukari's arms but Moukari gets an underhook and turns him. Now Sizzou has his back to the cage.
Sizzou has had enough of the clinch but Moukari keeps him there for the moment.

Moukari breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sizzou is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Moukari had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Sizzou throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Moukari on the side of the head.
Sizzou misses with a low kick as Moukari jumps back.
Sizzou fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Sizzou wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Sizzou stuffs the takedown attempt from Moukari. Moukari gets slowly back to his feet.
Moukari on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Sizzou goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Sizzou connects with a leg kick. Moukari looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Sizzou scores with a nice head shot.
Sizzou lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Sizzou misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Sizzou smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Sizzou connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Moukari's hands.

Moukari fails with an attempt to clinch.
Carl Sizzou is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Moukari tries to clinch there but Sizzou circles away.
Sizzou dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A jab from Sizzou does it's job there.
Sizzou fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Moukari has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Sizzou throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sizzou throws a nice head kick!
Sizzou jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Moukari throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sizzou's waist but Sizzou gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Moukari off to one side.
Sizzou thuds a left hand into Moukari's body.
Sizzou throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Moukari shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Sizzou counters with a slapping leg kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Moukari with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sizzou to score with a decent uppercut.
Moukari checks a leg kick.
Moukari shoots for a double leg takedown but Sizzou sprawls well. He's pushed Moukari's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sizzou works over Moukari's head and body with a nice combination.

Moukari is rocked!
Sizzou throws a hook but Moukari blocks it.
Oh Moukari is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Moukari. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Sizzou missing with a left hand there. Moukari was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A swing and a miss from Sizzou.
Sizzou misses with a looping left.
Sizzou looks to land a right hand but Moukari moved out of range.
Sizzou plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Moukari to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Moukari just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
