Wandeco comes to the cage accompanied by Sandstorm. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wandeco slaps away a takedown attempt from Silva, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Silva gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Wandeco lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Wandeco escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Silva throws a combination that misses
and Wandeco counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Silva moves into the clinch.
Wandeco lands an elbow just above Silva 's eye.
Silva's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Wandeco lands a right hand that snaps the head of Silva backwards.
Wandeco tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Wandeco connects with a nasty looking knee right to Silva's face.
Silva is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wandeco has Silva pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Silva is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Wandeco - that's hurt Silva badly! Oh, another knee lands and Silva is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Silva doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Wandy Wandeco!
