Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jon Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mookie Hamfist!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hamfist decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Jones tries to roll over but Hamfist keeps him under control.
Hamfist working Jones over with strikes.
Hamfist wants to pass the guard but Jones is defending well.

Jones is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hamfist pulls his head out easily.
Hamfist throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Jones is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hamfist scores with a couple of nice shots.

Hamfist is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hamfist is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hamfist takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hamfist is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones is refusing to be controlled, as Hamfist sits in half guard.
Jones keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Jones looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Hamfist missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Hamfist is pressing down on Jones's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jones is holding on for now.
Jones is trying to maintain the position but Hamfist is very close to passing his half guard.
Jones is not content to let Hamfist control the position.
Jones is trying to get back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hamfist looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jones manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Hamfist closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jones quickly recovers to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hamfist seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Hamfist looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Jones is in trouble now - Hamfist has advanced to mount!
Hamfist fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Hamfist looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
A nice elbow there by Hamfist.
Jones is trying to stand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hamfist is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jones can't stay in a position like this for much longer.


It looks like Jon Jones has been cut.
Hamfist landing strikes from the mount.


Jones is rocked!


Jon Jones's cut is getting worse.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Hamfist! Jones is hurt baaadly! Hamfist is firing away with more strikes - Jones is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mookie Hamfist!
After the fight, Mookie Hamfist was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
