Peippo is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Public Enemy - Terminator X to the Edge of Panic . Lyo Wuan could well score a knockout today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wuan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Peippo swats away the attempt to clinch by Wuan.
Wuan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Peippo throws a hook but Wuan avoids it easily.
Peippo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wuan is fending him off so far but Peippo persists. Nope, Wuan circles away and we're back to standing.
Peippo jabs Wuan right on the nose. Wuan blinks but takes it well.
Wuan throws a head kick that Peippo semi-blocks.
Wuan slips under a jab from Peippo.

Wuan's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Wuan duly obliges.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Peippo misses with a low kick.
Peippo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Peippo throws a solid leg kick but Wuan takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Peippo.
The fighters circling - Peippo throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Wuan scores with a kick to the midsection.

Wuan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Peippo swivels and escapes.

Wuan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Peippo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Wuan prevents Peippo from breaking the clinch.

Wuan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Peippo scores with a jab.
Wuan misses with a few strikes there.
Wuan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Peippo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Wuan slips a jab and a cross from Peippo.
Peippo looks to throw the jab but Wuan is out of range.
Wuan lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Peippo at a distance.

Wuan clinches.

Peippo takes an elbow to the forehead.

Wuan manages to break the clinch.

Wuan pushes Peippo up against the ropes in a clinch.
Peippo wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Wuan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wuan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Peippo throws out the jab.
Peippo misses with an uppercut
and Wuan counters with a head kick.
Peippo fails with the takedown.
Wuan connects with a good right hand that stumbles Peippo. Peippo circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Peippo is rocked!

Wuan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Peippo, pushing him back against the ropes.
Peippo is still on wobbly legs! Can Wuan finish him?

Wuan breaks from the clinch.
Peippo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wuan moves away.
Peippo seems to have recovered his senses.
Wuan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Peippo.

Wuan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Wuan fakes the leg kick and cracks Peippo in the body.
Peippo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wuan avoids it really well and circles away.
Lyo Wuan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kari Peippo.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Wuan! Peippo is out on his feet! Wuan rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Peippo is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Peippo is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Lyo Wuan tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
