Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Echart Tolle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, The Elite!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tolle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Elite manages to avoid it.
Tolle with a poor takedown
and Elite counters with a takedown into side control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Tolle parries the strikes from Elite easily there. Elite is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Tolle to escape.
Elite working the ground and pound.
Sloppy strikes there by Elite.
Tolle is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Elite off and has taken his back!
Tolle tries to get the hooks in deep but Elite pushed the leg off.
Elite trying to control the position but Tolle manages to sink in the hooks.
A lull in the action here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tolle tightening his grip on Elite, looking for the choke.
Tolle is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Elite defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Tolle looking to break Elite's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Elite remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Tolle will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Tolle lands a shot to the body.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Elite showing good submission defense here.
Elite trying to control but not successfully.

Tolle controlling well, preventing Elite from escaping the position.
Tolle has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Elite has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Tolle has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Elite wants to get back to his feet.
Will Tolle go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Elite really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tolle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Elite has hold of Tolle's leg, trying to break free but it's let Tolle lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Elite is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Tolle throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
