Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bogey James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Campbell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bogey James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edward Campbell!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

James feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
James has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
James postures up and lands a big shot to Campbell's brow.
Campbell is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Campbell manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. James manages to get himself to full guard.
James knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Campbell on the ground.

James wants to stand and escape but Campbell is having none of it.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now James is on top in guard.
Campbell tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Campbell has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but James can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

James tries to reverse the position but Campbell maintains control.
James is squirming around, avoiding Campbell's attempts to control the action.
James tries to hold on but Campbell postures up.
Campbell thowing shots but they're missing.
Campbell seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but James is holding on tight.
James is in all sorts of trouble here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!

James is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
BOOM! Campbell connects with a massive shot to the dome!
This has been an exciting period of action!

James is squirming around, avoiding Campbell's attempts to control the action.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


James shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Campbell but Campbell pushes him off and we're back to square one.
James needs to keep his hands up - Campbell had a free shot at his head there.
James lands an overhand right.

Campbell throws a front kick aimed at James's knee but James avoids it well.
Campbell walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. James checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

James pushes Campbell up against the cage in a clinch.

James is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Campbell pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Campbell throws a head punch that misses.
Campbell prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bogey James. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Campbell tries to bum rush James with a series of wild strikes but James uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A nice combination there by Campbell.

James gets a takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Campbell manages to get to full guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Campbell seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but James does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Campbell drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but James manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Campbell has James in his guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

James shoots in for a double leg but Campbell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Campbell pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces James back to the cage. Campbell follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Campbell cracks James with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
James closes this distance looking for a takedown but Campbell circles away.
Campbell smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
James fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

James has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from James there as he acknowledges the shot.

Campbell throws a good cross that connects.
Campbell lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Campbell scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. James doesn't seem bothered though.

Campbell tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and James is able to avoid easily.

Campbell feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jamess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
James will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Campbell scores with a one two! James had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Campbell smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
James shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.


James is rocked!

Campbell misses with a few strikes there.
Oh James is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
James is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
James seems to have got his legs back now.
Campbell is looking to chop away at James's legs.
Campbell dips to his left and cracks James with an uppercut!
Campbell throws a combination but it was largely blocked by James.
James shoots in for a double leg but Campbell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
James fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Campbell avoids it really well and circles away.
James walks into a left hand.
Campbell moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

James misses with a takedown attempt - Campbell sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
James has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Campbell finds it's way round the side to connect with James's head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Campbell is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. James doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Campbell.
Bogey James has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Campbell is trying to control. James wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Edward Campbell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Campbell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
