Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Grisha Egorov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yury Ziminov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Egorov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ziminov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Egorov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ziminov somewhat.
Ziminov throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Egorov tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ziminov is in Egorov's guard.
Ziminov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Ziminov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Egorov walks away with a smile on his face. Ziminov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

That was a close round but I would say that Grisha Egorov will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Egorov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ziminov pinned against the cage. Ziminov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
