The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fillipovitch swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Fillipovitch.
Fillipovitch scores with the left hand. Smith knows he should have avoided that one.
Smith jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Fillipovitch is looking to clinch but Smith is avoiding it.
Smith misses with a takedown attempt - Fillipovitch sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Fillipovitch stuffs the takedown attempt from Smith. Smith gets slowly back to his feet.
Smith throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fillipovitch does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Smith avoids the head kick by Fillipovitch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Smith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fillipovitch's waist but Fillipovitch gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smith off to one side.
