The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayhem takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Mayhem ducks right into an uppercut from De Luca.
Mayhem shoots in but De Luca avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
De Luca throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
De Luca tries to bum rush Mayhem with a series of wild strikes but Mayhem uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

De Luca is trying to escape back to his feet but Mayhem uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Mayhem wants to lay and pray for a moment but De Luca keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
De Luca is looking to regain half guard here but Mayhem keeps moving and retains side control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Mayhem is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. De Luca is trying to escape and Mayhem transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and De Luca is forced to tap! Nice work there by Mayhem! Very nice indeed!
