The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ukolov with a lazy takedown attempt
and Crixus counters with a left to the body.
Ukolov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ukolov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Crixus's guard.
Ukolov throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Ukolov trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Ukolov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Crixus looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Ukolov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Crixus controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Crixus's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ukolov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Crixus defends it easily.
Ukolov looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ukolov is looking for a triangle but Crixus pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Ukolov controls Crixus momentarily but Crixus frees himself.
Crixus content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Crixus is in close to Ukolov's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Ukolov has an active guard here but Crixus has managed to pass into half guard.

Still in half guard, Crixus seems content to control.
Let's hope that Crixus has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Crixus is keen to just control but Ukolov is a slippery customer.
Ukolov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Crixus pulls his head out easily.
Crixus is trying to control. Ukolov wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Crixus drops an elbow to the side of Ukolov's head.

Crixus content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
It looks like Crixus might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Crixus is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Ukolov is hurt! He's hurt bad - Crixus fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Ukolov from any more punishment! Congratulations to Crixus! Great finish!
