The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Aoki's guard.

Aoki is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Royce Gracie.
Aoki is looking to clinch.

Gracie looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Aoki!
Gracie could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Gracie takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Gracie is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Aoki is forced to tap! Great finish!

A relieved looking Royce Gracie thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
