Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tristian Okami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akira Mishima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tristian Okami could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Akira Mishima's chin.

With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akira Mishima!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mishima pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Okami swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Akira Mishima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mishima misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mishima throws a head kick that half lands.

Okami closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mishima's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Mishima escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Okami gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Okami wants to pass the guard but Mishima is keeping the position.

Mishima working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Okami doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Okami manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Okami stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mishima swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mishima looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Mishima escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Okami gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Okami pushes down on Mishima's leg and manages to get into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tristian Okami will probably get the nod.

Okami throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mishima tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Okami is in Mishima's guard.

Tristian Okami overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Mishima is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Okami defends well.
Mishima lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Okami!
The referee warns Okami that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Okami is desperately trying to improve his position but Mishima has a good base and remains in mount.

Mishima is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Okami is surviving well by controlling Mishima's body position as best he can.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Okami is wriggling around trying to escape.
Mishima lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Okami wants to control but Mishima is having none of it.
Mishima has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Okami's face.
