The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Banana checks it well.
Banana on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Banana misses with a body shot.

A nice leg kick lands there from King.
King throws a right and a left that both miss.
Banana throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

King is trying to control the position but Banana postures up.
Banana drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Banana jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
King really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Banana. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
King is adopting a defensive guard.

Banana might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Banana has gone for a leg lock! King slips out almost immediately though and dives into Banana's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Banana is on top in guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Banana manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

That was a close round but I would say that Jamii Banana will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from King lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Banana has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Banana and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
