The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bertane shoots in for a takedown but Adams shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Bertane takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Bertane shoots for a takedown but Adams saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bertane misses with a straight right.
Adams thows a body shot but no joy.

Bertane fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Adams to the ground. Bertane is now in Adams's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Bertane stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Adams swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bertane drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Adams manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bertane has Adams in his guard.

A close round but Mark Adams will probably get the nod.
That's time! Bertane's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Adams throws a lazy right hand but Bertane sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Nice takedown defense from Adams. No joy for Bertane on that attempt.
Bertane tries to clinch but Adams moves out of range.
Adams lunges at Bertane with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bertane's hand.

Well, with Adams on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Bertane is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Adams is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Bertane has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Adams is persistently looking for the submission but Bertane is defending it well.

Adams sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Bertane taps out!

Mark Adams spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
