PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonas Yoponku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ervin Ciku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ciku has chosen Next Big Thing as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ciku moves out of range of the body kick.
Horrible takedown by Yoponku or perhaps it was just good defense by Ciku which made him look bad.
A head kick misses from Yoponku.

Ciku feints and as Yoponku raises his hands in defense, Ciku changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Ciku trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Yoponku working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Ciku has passed into half guard!
Ciku landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ciku seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Yoponku is looking to improve his position.

Ciku stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Yoponku to get to his feet.

Yoponku tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ciku swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Yoponku tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Yoponku looks for the body kick but Ciku saw that one coming.

Ciku manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Yoponku on his heels. He'll look to pass Yoponku's guard now, I'm sure.

Ciku slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Yoponku is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Yoponku has his feet on Ciku's thighs here. He's pushed Ciku off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Ciku screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
