Ashantie comes to the cage accompanied by Congo Ashanti. Ironz has chosen Limp Bizkit - Gold Cobra as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Congo Ashantie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ashantie has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ironz.

Ashantie shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Ashantie digs a good hook to Ironz's body.

and Ashantie counters with a solid body kick.
Ironz looks gassed!
Ironz wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A nice leg kick lands there from Ashantie.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Ashantie lands a jab to Ironz's midsection.

Ironz chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ashantie can pounce on him.
Ashantie fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ironz looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Ashantie fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ironz has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Ashantie throws a good cross that connects.
Ashantie scores with a head kick. Ironz tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Ashantie throws a sloppy head kick and Ironz moves out of range easily.
Ironz walks into a jab.
Ironz swings away with a body shot that misses
and Ashantie counters with a thumping low kick.

Ashantie moves out of range of the strikes.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Ashantie lands a big head kick that sends Ironz tumbling to the mat! Ashantie takes a step backwards and waves Ironz back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Ironz is still on wobbly legs! Can Ashantie finish him?
Ashantie lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Ironz up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Ashantie from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Ironz's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Congo Ashantie!
A very excited looking Congo Ashantie rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
