Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kindo Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Sutton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suzuki is looking to clinch but Sutton is avoiding it.
Suzuki closes the distance and clinches up with Sutton, looking for a takedown. Suzuki pushes Sutton against the ropes but Sutton circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Suzuki counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Sutton wants to control but Suzuki passes easily into half guard.
Sutton wants to improve his position but Suzuki is controlling well.
Suzuki is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Sutton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Suzuki is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Suzuki drives through with a takedown into guard.
Suzuki slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Sutton.
Suzuki wants to stand up but Sutton is controlling the position.
Sutton tries to roll over but Suzuki keeps him under control.
Suzuki wants to stand but Sutton has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Sutton tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Suzuki content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Suzuki moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Sutton.
Suzuki gets to mount! Sutton was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Sutton can't escape the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Suzuki wants to control the pace but Sutton is squirming around nicely.
Sutton is looking to improve his position but Suzuki isn't that keen on the idea.
Mark Sutton has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Kindo Suzuki showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Suzuki, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
