Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Harry Loid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chiang Kai Shek!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kai Shek lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Kai Shek throws a head kick but Loid moves out of range.
Kai Shek throws a shot to the body.
Loid throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kai Shek's waist but Kai Shek gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Loid off to one side.
A lazy left from Kai Shek finds it's target.
Kai Shek works Loid's body with a nice hook.
Loid tries to clinch but Kai Shek moves out of range.
Nice cross by Kai Shek.
Loid moves in looking to clinch but Kai Shek pushes him off.
Kai Shek throws a right hand that Loid ducks under and follows up with a left that Loid also avoids with ease.
Kai Shek bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Loid's head backwards.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kai Shek scores with a nice strike.
Kai Shek scores with a punch to the head.
Kai Shek stuffs the takedown attempt from Loid. Loid gets slowly back to his feet.
Kai Shek thuds his right hand into Loid's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kai Shek looks for the body kick but Loid saw that one coming.
Kai Shek moves into the clinch.
Kai Shek misses with some punches.
Kai Shek's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kai Shek connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Kai Shek throws a series of strikes that have Loid backpedaling.
Loid is rocked!
Kai Shek throws an uppercut from hell that sends Loid clean off his feet! He's out cold! Kai Shek stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chiang Kai Shek!
