Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Demian Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Stratus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jay Stratus will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Demian Maia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Stratus defends it nicely.
Jab by Stratus.
Maia looks to land a combination but Stratus avoids it well.
Stratus dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Maia takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Stratus lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Demian Maia has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stratus comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Stratus scores with a body shot.
Maia takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Maia shoots in looking for a takedown but Stratus manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Maia's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Maia is breathing heavily.
Stratus swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A punch combination from Stratus misses.
A punch lands to the side of Maia 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Maia takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Stratus getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Stratus throws a one two combo.
Stratus lands with a nice body punch.
Jay Stratus is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Stratus connects with a looping right hand.
Stratus pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Maia back to the cage. Stratus follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Maia is rocked!
Maia backs away from a small jab... but Stratus lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Maia crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Stratus with a spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Jay Stratus!
