Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pain throws a right and a left that Pouncy avoids nicely.

Pouncy fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pain sprawls well initially but Pouncy persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Pouncy with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Pouncy's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Pouncy not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Marcus Pouncy hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
No joy there for Pain, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Pouncy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pain tries to bum rush Pouncy with a series of wild strikes but Pouncy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Pain looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Pouncy drives through with a takedown into guard.

Pouncy decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Pain works over Pouncy's head and body with a nice combination.

Pain gets tackled into the cage by Pouncy. Pouncy maintains the clinch.
Pouncy tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Pain avoids it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pouncy ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Pouncy no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pouncy is on top in guard.

Pouncy is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pouncy makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Pain misses with a series of wild punches.
Pouncy takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Pain swinging wildly here.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Pouncy. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Pain gets caught flat footed, as Pouncy shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Pouncy decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pain, up you get!

Pouncy closes the distance and clinches.

Pouncy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pouncy looks to land a body kick but Pain moved away.
Pain with a body punch. A glancing blow.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pain throws a right and a left that both miss.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pain fails to land with a series of punches.

Pouncy throws a head kick that Pain semi-blocks.
Pain looks to land a combination but Pouncy avoids it well.
Pouncy misses with a wild combination.

Pouncy gets a double leg takedown into Pain's guard.
Pouncy tries to free his leg and advance position but Pain is retaining full guard.
Pouncy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Pouncy sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pain's guard.
Pouncy seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Pouncy is looking for a kimura but Pain is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pouncy to get the leverage.

Pouncy is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Pouncy perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Let's hope that Pouncy has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Pouncy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pain looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
