The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reima misses with a few strikes there.
Petri Reima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Scylla.
Reima throws out a loose jab but Scylla uses good head movement to avoid it.
Scylla misses with a double jab.

Scylla shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Reima's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Reima can do anything to dispel that myth.
Scylla wants to control from the top but Reima keeps moving.
Scylla tries to free his leg and advance position but Reima is retaining full guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Scylla seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Reima wants to sweep here but Scylla controlling him for the moment.

Scylla wants to control from the top but Reima keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Scylla scores with a push kick.
Scylla avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Scylla circles away from the clinch attempt.
Scylla looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Reima looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Reima is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Scylla defends it well.
Scylla moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Scylla wants to improve his position but instead Reima has moved into half guard.
Reima wants to stand up but Scylla is controlling the position.
Scylla is not content to let Reima control the position.

Scylla is trying to maintain the position but Reima is very close to passing his half guard.

Reima swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Scylla is not content to let Reima control the position.

Reima tries to pass the half guard into mount. Scylla knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Scylla tries to kick Reima off but Reima keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Reima tries to stand and escape but Scylla is controlling the position.
Reima working over Scylla with some ground and pound. Scylla looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Reima looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Reima closes the distance looking to clinch
and Scylla counters with a stiff right hand.

Reima throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Reima is looking to stand up but Scylla isn't so interested in that idea.

Reima really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Scylla. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Scylla has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Reima! Can he survive? No! He's out! Scylla gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
