The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Cooler.
Horrible takedown by Benkowski or perhaps it was just good defense by Cooler which made him look bad.
Cooler connects with a nice looking jab.
Benkowski tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cooler paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cooler throws an off balance right hand
and Benkowski cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Cooler looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Cooler wants to get back to striking at distance but Benkowski won't allow it.
Benkowski is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Cooler to keep the fight standing.

Mason Cooler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cooler misses with a looping right.
Cooler lunges at Benkowski with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Benkowski's hand.
Cooler cracks Benkowski with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Cooler looks to land a combination but Benkowski avoids it well.
