Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jaemin Jeong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jeong might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Itaewon Freedom - UV feat JY Park. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jeong bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Jeong drives through and clinches with McDonald against the cage.
McDonald takes a knee to the side of the body.
McDonald struggles to land a body shot inside as Jeong controls his hands.
Jeong blocks the elbow strike.

Jeong wants the takedown. McDonald is fighting it off but Jeong persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in McDonald's guard against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jeong sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McDonald's guard.
Jeong wants to advance to full mount but McDonald doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

McDonald has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jeong is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for McDonald.

Jeong is staying tight to McDonald's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Jeong thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
McDonald tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jeong wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Jeong wants to lay and pray for a moment but McDonald keeps working.

Jeong is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, McDonald has escaped the position, nice work there.
McDonald stops Jeong from passing to mount.

McDonald prevents Jeong from taking his back.
McDonald tries to hold on but Jeong postures up.
Jeong seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but McDonald is holding on tight.

Jeong is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, McDonald has managed to escape the submission attempt.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McDonald regains half guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A slapping leg kick lands for Jeong.
Jeong throws out a leg kick but McDonald moves out of range and Jeong only half commits.

Jeong tries to clinch but McDonald moves away
and McDonald counters with a right hand to the body.
A slow jab from McDonald misses its intended target.
Jeong throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jeong.
Jeong tries to close the distance and clinch up but McDonald swats him away and circles back towards the center.
McDonald throws a right and a left that Jeong avoids nicely.
Jeong misses with a takedown attempt - McDonald sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
McDonald throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McDonald throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McDonald tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Jeong tries to clinch but McDonald moves out of range.
McDonald looks to land a combination but Jeong avoids it well.
Jeong tries to clinch but McDonald is having none of it.
McDonald takes a kick to the side of the head.
Jeong fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McDonald avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jaemin Jeong. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jeong is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. McDonald is trying to escape and Jeong transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and McDonald is forced to tap! Nice work there by Jeong! Very nice indeed!
