These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Muraki Tunamoto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michael Reed!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Konstantin Menshow and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunch! Tunamoto slams his shin into Reed's torso.
Reed gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Tunamoto counters with a flying knee. Nice.
A low kick from Reed misses
and Tunamoto counters with a nice low kick that buckles Reed's knee momentarily.
Tunamoto throws a lazy head kick
letting Reed counter with a right hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Reed throws a lazy body kick
and Tunamoto counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Reed thows a leg kick but Tunamoto checks it
and Tunamoto counters with a stiff right hand.
Tunamoto showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Reed.
Reed tries to land a front kick but Tunamoto steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Reed throws a leg kick
and Tunamoto finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Tunamoto lands a big head kick that sends Reed tumbling to the mat! Tunamoto takes a step backwards and waves Reed back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Reed blocks a head kick by Tunamoto.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Reed tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Tunamoto counters with a head kick that drops Reed to the mat! Reed scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!


Reed is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tunamoto misses with a head kick.
Reed misses with a body shot
and Tunamoto makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Reed avoids a kick to the body.
A head kick by Tunamoto misses
and Reed counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Reed is looking to land body kicks.
Tunamoto fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Reed.
Reed throws a combination that misses
and Tunamoto counters with a slapping leg kick.
Reed throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sloppy strikes from Reed. Those never looked like landing.

Reed throws a leg kick
letting Tunamoto counter with a right hand.
Reed throws a series of punches but Tunamoto avoids them all with ease.
Reed misses with a right hand
and Reed takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A telegraphed right hand from Tunamoto misses the target.
Reed misses with a low kick.
Tunamoto lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Reed misses with a leg kick
and Tunamoto counters with a leg kick.
Reed looks gassed!
A nice inside leg kick there by Tunamoto. That's going to slow Reed down.
Reed fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tunamoto manages to avoid it.
Tunamoto darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tunamoto connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Tunamoto connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Reed's hands.
Tunamoto's jab looks to have found its range, popping Reed under the eye.
Tunamoto throws a sloppy head kick and Reed moves out of range easily.
Reed avoids the head kick by Tunamoto.
Tunamoto scoring well with a low kick there.
Tunamoto looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tunamoto throws a head kick but Reed moves out of range.
Reed throws a wild body kick that Tunamoto sees coming a mile off.
Reed takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Reed darts in trying to clinch
and Tunamoto counters with a right hand to the body.
Tunamoto dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Reed. That did some damage!
Reed throws a poor cross that misses
and Tunamoto counters with a head kick.
Tunamoto scores with a head kick.
Tunamoto thows a body shot but no joy.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Reed misses with a series of wild punches.
Tunamoto circles away from the clinch attempt
and Tunamoto counters with a thumping low kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Muraki Tunamoto dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Reed throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Tunamoto is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Reed can do to turn this around?
Reed tried to score with a low kick but Tunamoto checks it.
Reed tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tunamoto was well out of range. Poor timing from Reed.
Tunamoto's corner calls for a 1-2. Tunamoto obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Muraki Tunamoto is winning the standup battle so far.
Reed is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Tunamoto just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Reed has gone limp and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Muraki Tunamoto!
A very excited looking Muraki Tunamoto made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
