The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDaniels is looking to clinch but Hammerfist is avoiding it.
Hammerfist tries to score a power double leg takedown but McDaniels sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hammerfist somewhat.
McDaniels tries to clinch up but Hammerfist circles away and keeps his distance.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McDaniels accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

McDaniels gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
McDaniels shoots in but Hammerfist avoids the takedown attempt easily.
McDaniels throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

That was a close second round but I would say that Marcus McDaniels will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Marcus McDaniels.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for McDaniels, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
