Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corey Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jordan Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Corey Parker!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parker fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jackson to the ground. Parker is now in Jackson's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Parker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Parker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Parker throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jackson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Jackson scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.

Jackson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Parker would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Parker wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.

Jackson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Parker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Parker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jackson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Parker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jackson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jackson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Parker can do anything to dispel that myth.

That was a close round but I would say that Jordan Jackson will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Jackson doesn't manage to clinch there - Parker circles away.
Jackson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Parker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jackson somewhat.

After the fight, Jordan Jackson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
