Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marko Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stuart Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marko Khan has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith shoots in and drives through. Khan sprawls well.
Smith dodges the punch combination from Khan.
Smith misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Khan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Khan keeps the fight on the outside.

Khan clinches up with Smith and pushes him back against the cage.
Smith takes a shot to the head.
Smith is trying to force a seperation but Khan has the dominant position.

Smith gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Khan regains guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Khan has Smith pulled in close to control his posture.
Khan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Smith manages to get himself to full guard.

Khan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Khan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

We're going to have a standup here because Marko Khan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Khan.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Smith enables Khan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Smith manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Khan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smith swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Smith bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Khan's guard.

Khan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Khan has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Smith is trying to keep an underhook but Khan manages to get the takedown into half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Marko Khan.

Khan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Khan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marko Khan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Khan but Khan pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Smith throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Khan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Smith defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Khan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Smith is just riding it out for now. Khan eventually gives up the hold.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Khan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smith sprawls well. Smith wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Khan gets slowly back to his feet.
Smith shoots in looking for a takedown but Khan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Smith's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Khan decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Smith seems to have recovered his senses.

Khan manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Khan perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Khan moves into the clinch successfully.

Khan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Khan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
