The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sleek tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Morgernstern shoots in but Sleek avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Sleek wants to control for a moment but Morgernstern uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Sleek is stalling here. Morgernstern is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Sleek seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Morgernstern has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Morgernstern is looking for a kimura but Sleek is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Morgernstern to get the leverage.
Morgernstern is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sleek defends it well.
Sleek is defending against the submission attempts here by Morgernstern.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Sleek looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Morgernstern! Submission of the night perhaps?
