Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jet Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dustin Gate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Li comes to the cage accompanied by Tourniquet by Evanescence. Jet Li could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dustin Gate's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gate blocks the body kick.
Gate shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Li as he avoids it easily.
Gate slips a jab from Li.

Gate shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Li sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Gate passes the guard and advances to mount!
Li is trying to escape the mount.
Li holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Gate tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Gate looking to ground and pound but Li is blocking nicely.

Li is trying to escape the mount.
Gate looking to control and managing it successfully.
Li tries to lock up and control but Gate gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Li is trying to reverse the position but instead Gate has taken his back - oops!

Gate looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Li is controlling Gate 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard.
Li throws an elbow that misses. Gate uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Li's guard. Nice move by Gate!

Gate avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Li has an active guard here but Gate has managed to pass into half guard.
Gate is controlling the pace.

Gate works his foot free and advances to mount.
Li tries to reverse the position but Gate maintains control.
Gate unloads with some shots from mount but Li bucks and avoids them well.
Li is trying desperately to improve position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Gate jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Li is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Li and Gate has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Li lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Gate has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Gate and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Dustin Gate is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Li misses with a series of wild punches.
Jet Li seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Li lands a front kick.

Gate gets a clinch.

Li breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gate shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Li defends it nicely.
Li throws a head kick but Gate moves out of range.
Li throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Gate's head.
Li cracks the inside of Gate's front leg.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gate takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Gate is breathing heavily.

Li tries a head kick but it misses.
Li lands with a thumping leg kick.
Li throws a sloppy head kick and Gate moves out of range easily.
Li pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gate checks the leg kick.
Li stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Li wants it to stay on the feet.

Li throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Li connects with an inside leg kick.
Li tries a head kick but it misses.
Li finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Gate takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Gate chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Li can pounce on him.
Gate avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Li misses the shot to the body.
A head kick from Li lands but Gate takes it in his stride.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Li throws a low kick but it's checked well by Gate.
Li circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Gate drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Li follows Gate to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

After winning the bout, Jet Li thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
