Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boydy Blue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boydy Blue!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Griffin!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin shoots in and drives through. Blue sprawls well.
Blue slaps away a takedown attempt from Griffin, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Griffin has Blue up against the cage in a clinch.
Griffin is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Blue to keep the fight standing.
Boydy Blue has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Griffin.
Blue fails to pull guard.
Griffin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Blue walks away with a smile on his face. Griffin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Blue fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Griffin avoids it really well and circles away.
Griffin scores with a head kick. Blue tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.


Boydy Blue's cut is getting worse.
Boydy Blue seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blue looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Griffin is fending him off so far but Blue persists. Nope, Griffin circles away and we're back to standing.

Griffin rushes Blue and presses him up against the cage.
Blue wants to take the fight to the mat but Griffin manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Griffin lands with a left to the head.
Blue is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Griffin gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Griffin landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Griffin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Griffin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Griffin lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Blue is breathing heavily.
Griffin shoots in but no luck this time.
Blue pivots, looking for a leg kick but Griffin is out of range and Blue settles back down.
Blue tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Griffin swivels and escapes.

Griffin moves into the clinch successfully.

Griffin drags the fight down to the ground.

Blue has gone for a leg lock! Griffin slips out almost immediately though and dives into Blue's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Griffin controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Blue looking for a sweep. Not yet Blue, not yet.

Griffin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Blue is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Griffin slips nicely into half guard.
Griffin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blue. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Griffin passes the guard and advances to mount!
Griffin prevents Blue from getting the reversal.

Griffin wants to finish this one by submission but Blue is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Griffin.
Griffin throws some wild stikes that Blue manages to avoid easily.

Griffin looking to ground and pound but Blue is blocking nicely.
Blue is desperately trying to improve his position but Griffin has a good base and remains in mount.

Griffin throwing strikes here but Blue is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Blue is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Blue tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Griffin controlling from the full mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like Griffin might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Blue is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Griffin lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Griffin looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Griffin is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Blue is surviving well by controlling Griffin's body position as best he can.
Blue is desperately trying to improve his position but Griffin has a good base and remains in mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Griffin unloads with some shots from mount but Blue bucks and avoids them well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matt Griffin dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Boydy Blue's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Blue fails with a takedown attempt.
Blue tries to close the distance and clinch up but Griffin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Blue swats away the attempt to clinch by Griffin.
Blue tries for a takedown but Griffin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Griffin avoids the head kick by Blue.

Blue closes this distance looking for a takedown but Griffin circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Boydy Blue. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Griffin keeps the fight on the outside.
Blue stuffs the takedown.
Griffin has a takedown stuffed.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Griffin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Blue pinned against the cage. Blue gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Griffin shoots in looking for a takedown. Blue tries to sprawl out of it but Griffin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Blue manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Blue changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Griffin tries to avoid it but Blue manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Griffin to the ground. Griffin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Griffin is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Griffin thuds his right hand into Blue's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Matt Griffin seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Griffin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Blue sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Griffin somewhat.
Blue wants to clinch up but Griffin keeps it at a distance.
Blue misses with a leg kick.
Griffin digs a good body shot into Blue's ribs.
Griffin shoots in looking for a takedown. Blue tries to sprawl out of it but Griffin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Blue manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Griffin misses with a takedown attempt - Blue sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Boydy Blue is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Blue leaves Griffin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Blue is looking to land body kicks.
Griffin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
No luck for Griffin with that takedown attempt.

Blue feints and as Griffin raises his hands in defense, Blue changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Blue is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Griffin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Blue's guard.
Blue has a closed guard, preventing Griffin from standing up.

Blue pushes Griffin off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Griffin shoots in for a double leg but Blue sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Griffin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Griffin fails with a takedown attempt.

Blue clinches up with Griffin and pushes him back against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Griffin looking to slow down the pace here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Blue tries to pull guard but Griffin won't allow it.

Griffin drags the fight down to the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Boydy Blue will probably get the nod.

That's time! Blue's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Griffin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Blue swivels and escapes.
Griffin stuffs the takedown.

Blue looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Griffin works his way to full guard. Good work.

Griffin has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Blue drops back, looking for a kneebar! Griffin looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Griffin looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Griffin!

Griffin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Blue tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Griffin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Blue is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Griffin asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Sloppy strikes there by Griffin.
Blue tries to bench press Griffin off him but Griffin keeps the position.
Matt Griffin has got the better of the ground game so far.

Griffin tries for a kimura but Blue is defending well.
Griffin staying calm.

Griffin moves into full mount!
Blue tries to buck Griffin off but Griffin takes his back!

Blue is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Griffin doesn't have the hooks in and Blue manages to turn into his guard.

Blue thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Griffin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Blue postures up.

I would just about give that final round to Matt Griffin.
Well Griffin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
