The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James misses with a takedown attempt
and Callisto counters with a series of strikes. James will be more careful next time no doubt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from James.
James tries for a takedown but Callisto sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jordan James. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Callisto lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as James backs up against the cage.
James has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

James is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Callisto's half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Callisto is looking for a sweep. James is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Callisto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with James. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

James is nestled in close to Callisto, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
