The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jensen stuffs the takedown attempt from Vera. Vera gets slowly back to his feet.
Jensen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vera sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jensen somewhat.

Vera fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jensen, pushing him back against the cage.

and Jensen counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Vera!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vera is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Jensen has taken his back!

Jensen has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Vera is in real trouble here. Jensen gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Vera is tapping out! Jensen wins by rear naked choke!

After the fight, Michael Jensen was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
